Pick a symbol, set the margin you want to risk, choose leverage, then submit a buy (long) or sell (short) ticket.
- 01Open the terminal at /trade (or /demo without an account) and select a symbol from the watchlist.
- 02In the order ticket, choose Buy for a long position or Sell for a short one.
- 03Keep the Market tab for an immediate fill, or switch to Limit and type the price you want.
- 04Enter the amount. This is the margin you allocate, not the position size.
- 05Set leverage with the slider. Position size is margin × leverage.
- 06Optionally add a stop-loss and a take-profit, then submit the ticket.

Above the submit button the ticket shows the notional (margin × leverage), the estimated opening commission and the liquidation price for that exact combination. If the liquidation price sits uncomfortably close to the current price, lower the leverage.
If the button is disabled
- The quote is still loading — wait for the first tick.
- The quote is delayed: new market orders are blocked while data is stale.
- The session is closed, which blocks market orders on that instrument but still accepts resting limit orders.
A desk can hold at most 10 open positions. Close or cancel something before opening the eleventh.
